The SIG516 G3 Bronze 5.56 NATO rifle is SIG’s short-stroke piston 5.56 NATO rifle with a Bronze Cerakote aluminum receiver.

The SIG516 G3 is SIG’s short-stroke piston 5.56 NATO rifle. A 16 in. cold-hammer-forged barrel, 1:7 twist, on a 1/2-28 tapered shoulder with SIG’s flash-hider compensator. A 3-position adjustable gas block. Rear and side charging handles run independently and do not reciprocate. The lower is fully ambidextrous. Steel-reinforced cam path and feed ramp sit in the action. Matchlite Duo is the curved trigger. The handguard is free-float M-LOK with a Picatinny top rail. Magpul’s DT stock is six-position. One 30-round polymer magazine ships in the box. Rifles ship to a licensed FFL.

SIG lists 36.5 in. extended, 33 in. collapsed, 3.3 in. wide, 7.8 in. high, and 7.7 lb on the 16 in. G3. The rear charging handle and the side charging handle run independently and do not reciprocate with the bolt. Fully ambidextrous controls cover the safety, magazine catch, bolt catch, and charging handle. The free-float M-LOK handguard carries a Picatinny top rail.

This rifle uses a Bronze Cerakote aluminum receiver on the same 16 in. G3. Rear and side charging handles, fully ambidextrous controls, and Magpul’s DT stock stay on the gun. One 30-round polymer magazine ships in the box.
