The Trijicon SRO 2.5 MOA red dot sight pairs a versatile aiming point with a large viewing window and a black anodized housing.

The 2.5 MOA red dot sits between the finer 1 MOA and larger 5 MOA options in the SRO range. It gives you a distinct aiming reference without covering as much of a small target as the largest dot. The non-magnifying view and generous window make this model a practical choice for competition and regular range use.

The SRO2-C-2500002 optic has a black anodized housing and a single-dot reticle. There is no surrounding circle to crowd the view. Its 0.98 x 0.89-inch window provides room to see the dot and the surrounding target, while the tempered-glass lens keeps the sight picture clear.

Brightness Control and Battery Access

Side-mounted buttons provide eight manual brightness settings, including two night-vision-compatible levels and a super-bright setting. Automatic mode responds to ambient light. Lock-In mode holds your selected brightness, while Lock-Out mode keeps the optic in automatic operation and prevents accidental changes with the buttons.

The top-loading compartment lets you replace the CR2032 battery without removing the optic from its mount. Trijicon rates red-dot SRO battery life at over three years of continuous use at setting 4 of 8 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). Higher brightness settings and extreme temperatures can shorten that runtime.

Construction and Mounting

The housing is made from forged 7075-T6 aluminum and uses an open-emitter design. The RMR mounting footprint provides a choice of compatible mounts and adapter plates, but the SRO optic’s larger body still needs appropriate clearance. A rail mount or platform-specific adapter plate is not included.

Confirm SRO compatibility with your exact platform and holster before purchasing. Trijicon advises against installations where the front of the optic overhangs the chamber or breech face, because that can interfere with ejection. The RMRcc footprint is different from the standard RMR pattern used by this optic.
