Classic 1911 fire control, precision CNC machining, close slide-to-frame fit and positive barrel lock-up give the SR1911 line its familiar feel with modern Ruger manufacturing.

The SR1911 design keeps the replaceable grip panels, checkered backstrap, skeletonized trigger and hammer, beavertail grip safety, extended controls, oversized ejection port and loaded-chamber inspection port that make the platform practical to shoot and maintain.
