The Trijicon ACOG TA55A pairs a red .308/7.62 chevron reticle with fixed 5.5x magnification and a 50 mm objective. This is the .308-calibrated member of the TA55 family, with a TA51 thumbscrew mount included.

The chevron sits above a vertical ballistic reference scale. Its .308/7.62 calibration is the key distinction from the .223/5.56 TA55. The higher-magnification format has an 18.4-foot field of view at 100 yards and 2.2 inches of eye relief, in a body measuring 12 inches long.

Fiber-optic and tritium illumination keep the reticle battery-free, with the fiber-optic collector responding to available daylight. The matte-black forged-aluminum scope weighs 25.6 ounces.
