The Trijicon Huron 3-9×40 riflescope combines the BDC Hunter Holds reticle with a traditional 1-inch main tube. Model HR940-C-2700006 has a 40 mm objective and a satin black finish, and it weighs 15.8 ounces. The familiar 3-9x range suits hunters who prefer a conventional scope format.
This is the BDC version of the Huron 3-9×40, with additional horizontal and vertical reference marks around a fine central crosshair. The black reticle is non-illuminated and sits in the second focal plane, keeping its apparent size consistent across the zoom range. It is distinct from the German #4 Crosshair version, which does not have the BDC markings.
The fully multi-coated lenses use broadband anti-reflective coatings to support clear detail and color. Scratch-resistant coatings help protect the glass, and the easy-focus eyepiece provides diopter adjustment. Eye relief is 2.5-3.7 inches, with a field of view of 33.8-11.3 feet at 100 yards.
Low-profile capped turrets provide 1/4 MOA clicks and 40 MOA of total adjustment travel. The scope measures 12.23 inches long. Its 6061 aluminum housing is filled with dry nitrogen to resist internal fogging and is rated for submersion to 10 feet. A lens cap and Scopecoat cover are included. Compatible 1-inch rings or a mount are selected separately; this model does not use a 30 mm tube.
