The Trijicon ACOG TA11E combines a red .308/7.62 chevron reticle with fixed 3.5x magnification and a 35 mm objective. Its TA51 thumbscrew mount is included, making this the flattop-mount configuration rather than the carry-handle TA11.

The reticle places an illuminated chevron above a vertical ballistic reference scale calibrated for .308/7.62. The chevron leaves an open area beneath its tip, giving the view a different center shape from a crosshair or horseshoe. This TA11E has red illumination, distinguishing it from the amber TA11E-A.

Fiber optics supply ambient-light-responsive daytime illumination, and tritium lights the reticle in low light without batteries. The 8-inch, matte-black scope offers 2.4 inches of eye relief and a 28.9-foot field of view at 100 yards. A forged-aluminum housing, multicoated lenses and nitrogen filling provide a durable, internally fog-resistant optical assembly.
