The Trijicon RCR 3.25 MOA red dot sight combines an enclosed emitter with a top-loading CR2032 battery in a black aluminum housing.

An Enclosed Design with a Simple Red Dot

The RCR1-C-3300001 optic uses a single 3.25 MOA red dot and a non-magnifying view. Its enclosed construction protects the path between the LED emitter and the viewing lens, addressing a key difference between closed- and open-emitter sights. You still need to keep the exterior lenses clean, but debris cannot fall directly onto the emitter.

A machined 7075-T6 aluminum housing surrounds the optic, with a black finish and a 0.88 x 0.64-inch viewing window. The RCR weighs 1.95 ounces with the battery. Its dimensions are 1.8 x 1.2 x 1.3 inches without a mount.

Accessible Battery and Manual Brightness

The battery compartment opens from the top, allowing you to replace the CR2032 without removing the sight from its mount. Trijicon rates battery life at more than six years of continuous use at setting 5 of 10 under its stated test conditions. Higher brightness and extreme temperatures shorten that runtime; Trijicon recommends annual battery replacement.

Side buttons let you select among ten brightness levels, including three night-vision-compatible settings. Brightness Lock-In holds the level you choose and guards against accidental changes. The RCR uses manual brightness control rather than an automatic light-sensing mode.

RMR-Pattern Mounting

The RCR shares the RMR bolt pattern and uses Trijicon capstan mounting screws. This design supports use on compatible RMR-pattern mounts. Compatibility still depends on the specific mount, screw requirements, and surrounding clearance, so confirm that your mounting solution supports the RCR.

Windage and elevation adjust in 1 MOA clicks. The sealed base does not require a separate sealing plate, and Trijicon rates the optic for submersion to 66 feet. The result is a compact red dot that pairs convenient battery access with protection for the emitter.
