The SIG P220 Elite is SIG’s original full-size single-stack .45 with an optic-ready slide: 4.4 in. barrel, DA/SA with SRT, and SIGLITE night sights.
The SIG P220 is the full-size single-stack that started SIG’s modern pistol line. Most of these guns are DA/SA .45s with an alloy frame, a stainless slide, and a 4.4 in. barrel. The 10mm Legion stretches that to a 5 in. barrel and a stainless frame. SIG Rail. Night sights. Two or three 8-round magazines. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.
SIG still sells the P220 as the pistol that started it all: a barstock stainless slide, Nitron or Legion Gray, a beavertail you can actually grip, and the four-point safety system of a decocker, firing-pin block, intercept notch, and trigger-bar disconnect. Magazines are single-stack .45 or 10mm, not P226 9mm. Optic-ready guns use the footprint SIG lists on that pistol: Elite is Deltapoint/RMR-pattern, Legion is PRO. A factory red dot is not installed. Confirm the trigger and footprint on the pistol you receive.
