SIG MCX Firearms

The SIG MCX is SIG’s folding piston carbine family. This page holds two different MCX guns. MCX-SPEAR is the civilian M7 — 6.8×51 and 7.62×51, rear and side charging handles, a 2-stage match trigger, and AR-10 20-round magazines. SPEAR LT IR is the lighter folding MCX in Gen II reduced-IR Cerakote, in 5.56, .300 BLK, and 7.62×39.

They are not the same rifle. SPEAR LT barrels and magazines do not swap onto SPEAR 6.8/7.62. A factory optic is not installed. SBRs are NFA. Pistols ship to an FFL. See also SIG SPEAR LT and SIG Rattler.

Do these MCX guns ship with an optic?

No. A factory optic is not installed. The top rail is M1913.

How do SBR MCX models transfer?

Short-barreled rifles are NFA. They transfer on a Form 4 through a Class III / SOT dealer. Pistols and 16 in. rifles ship to a regular FFL.
