SIG ROMEO8T Red Dot Sights

The SIG ROMEO8T is SIG’s full-size enclosed rifle red dot family. The original 8T is the 1×38 mm sight SIG still sells as a hard-use enclosed optic: 7075-T6, a removable titanium shroud, MOTAC, and a Ballistic Circle Dot with four aiming pictures. One CR123A is how SIG rates 100,000-plus hours. ROMEO8T-AMR is the lighter 8T — a 40 mm Mangin lens, Automatic Modified Reticle, dedicated NV override, and a CR123 SIG rates at 50,000 hours. ROMEO8T-AMR SHROUD is that same AMR sight with SIG’s factory titanium shroud on the housing.

Original 8T and AMR share a hex-bolt M1913 mount. They are rifle-rail sights, not pistol-slide footprints. Confirm the reticle on the sight you receive. AMR changes the aiming picture when a JULIET-AMR magnifier flips in; the magnifier is sold on its own and in ROMEO and JULIET combos.

Does ROMEO8T-AMR include a titanium shroud?

Not on every sight. SIG’s AMR operators manual says the titanium shroud is included on select models. The factory-shroud sights are ROMEO8T-AMR SHROUD. The lighter black and green AMR sights on this page do not include a factory shroud.
