Trijicon Credo Magnification and Objective Options

The Credo 1-4×24 and 1-6×24 models combine 30 mm tubes with low capped adjusters. The 1-4×24 is a second-focal-plane design; the 1-6×24 family includes both second-focal-plane BDC Segmented Circle reticles and first-focal-plane MRAD Segmented Circle reticles. Their 24 mm objectives keep the front of the scope slim.

The first-focal-plane 1-8×28 and 1-10×28 move to 34 mm tubes and selectable red or green illumination. The 1-8×28 has exposed locking adjusters and comes in matte black or coyote-brown anodized finishes. The matte-black 1-10×28 uses the MRAD Segmented Circle Enhanced reticle and an exposed elevation adjuster with a return-to-zero feature.

The mid-power Credo models include the 2-10×36, which combines a first-focal-plane Precision Tree reticle with a 30 mm tube. The 2.5-15×42 and 2.5-15×56 use second-focal-plane MRAD Center Dot reticles and side parallax adjustment from 10 yards to infinity. The 3-9×40 offers a lighter 17.02-ounce body, a 1-inch tube, and either a Duplex or MOA Precision Hunter reticle.

Focal Planes and Reticle Patterns

A first-focal-plane reticle changes apparent size with magnification while maintaining its angular proportions. A second-focal-plane reticle stays the same apparent size as the image is magnified. Credo includes both designs, with MOA Precision Tree and MRAD Precision Tree options in the 2-10×36 and a choice of MRAD Ranging or .223/55-grain BDC Segmented Circle patterns in the 1-4×24.

Adjustment units also vary by model. The MRAD configurations use 0.1 MRAD clicks, while the .223/55-grain BDC models, the MOA Precision Tree 2-10×36, and the 3-9×40 models use 1/4 MOA clicks. The Duplex reticle provides a simple central crosshair; the Precision Hunter and Precision Tree patterns add graduated reference markings.

Illumination, Finish, and Mounting

Credo illumination is battery-powered LED, with one CR2032 battery included. Single-color models have red or green illumination, while the 1-8×28 and 1-10×28 offer both colors in the same optic. The range uses fully multi-coated lenses, and most configurations have a matte-black finish. The coyote-brown 1-8×28 adds an anodized color option with the same MRAD Segmented Circle reticle format.

Rings and mounts are separate. The 3-9×40 requires 1-inch mounting hardware; the 1-8×28 and 1-10×28 use 34 mm hardware. The other Credo models described here use 30 mm tubes. Tube diameter determines ring compatibility, while objective size and the rifle’s configuration affect the clearance required. Can every Credo switch between red and green illumination?

Which Credo models have adjustable parallax?

The 2.5-15×42 and 2.5-15×56 models have side parallax adjustment from 10 yards to infinity. The other Credo configurations described on this page do not have an external parallax adjustment.
