Fiber-Optic and Tritium Illumination

Trijicon DI Night Sights combine a green fiber-optic front with tritium illumination. The fiber collects available light, while tritium provides illumination without a battery. The rear sight uses tritium lamps rather than fiber-optic rods, making the front and rear construction different even though both sights are illuminated. A replaceable front fiber and separate retainer give the DI family its distinctive design.

Choose the Set for Your Pistol

Glock

GL801-C-601102 is the standard-frame set, GL804-C-601104 is the large-frame set, and GL813-C-601106 covers the Glock 42, 43, 43X, and 48. All three exclude MOS models. Their sight dimensions are not identical: the large-frame front blade is 0.200 in. high, while the standard-frame and small-frame front blades are 0.215 in. high. Compare the complete model list and part number, not just the Glock family name.

Smith & Wesson

SA837-C-601108 fits M&P, M&P M2.0, SD9 VE, and SD40 VE pistols, excluding Shield and C.O.R.E. models. SA839-C-601110 is the separate Shield set for 9mm, .40, and .45 Shield pistols, plus Shield Plus and Shield M2.0 models; it excludes Shield EZ. The Shield set has different front and rear blade heights from the M&P/SD VE version.

Springfield Armory

SP801-C-601116 is the DI set for XD, XD-M, and XD Mod.2 pistols. SP802-C-601118 is listed for the XD-S Mod.2. These are separate part numbers, so an XD-family name alone is not enough to identify the correct set.

Standard Colors and Separate Accessories

The standard DI front sight has a green fiber and black retainer. Retainer color is separate from fiber color: an orange retainer does not make the fiber orange. Optional DI fibers and colored retainers are separate accessories, not extra complete sight sets. Do Trijicon DI Night Sights need batteries?

No. The front fiber collects available light, and the tritium lamps are self-illuminating. There is no battery to charge or replace.

Do the rear sights also contain fiber-optic rods?

No. DI uses fiber optics and tritium together in the front sight, with tritium illumination in the rear sight.

Will these Glock DI sets fit MOS models?

No. Trijicon excludes MOS models from the fit lists for GL801-C-601102, GL804-C-601104, and GL813-C-601106.

Is the Shield set the same as the M&P set?

No. SA839-C-601110 is the Shield-specific set and excludes Shield EZ. SA837-C-601108 is for the listed M&P and SD VE models and excludes Shield and C.O.R.E. Their sight heights differ.

What replacement supplies come with a DI set?

The DI set includes green replacement fiber material and a Torx key. Optional color packs and separate replacement-retainer kits are sold separately.

Does a colored retainer change the tritium color?

No. The retainer is the ring around the front fiber. Changing its color does not change the color of the fiber or the tritium illumination.
