A Separate Magnifier or a Complete Combo?

The Trijicon 3x magnifier with flip-to-side mount adds magnification to a compatible sight you already own. Its fixed 3x optical system enlarges the view through that sight, while the hinged mount allows the magnifier to sit outside the viewing path without being detached.

Compatibility and Mount Height

The MRO HD and MRO SD families are designed for use with magnification. An older MRO should not be assumed to have the same optical compatibility simply because it shares the MRO name. Check the exact sight generation when choosing a magnifier.

The included adjustable-height mount and riser support full co-witness and lower 1/3 co-witness configurations. The magnifier uses a dedicated Trijicon mounting footprint, rather than a generic ring interface. Low or extra-high sight mounts are not covered by those two supplied height options.

What the Magnifier Adds

A compact aluminum housing, adjustable diopter, and recessed centering controls make this a separate optical component with its own focus and alignment features. It has no built-in reticle, illumination, or battery requirement. The dot color and any circle-and-dot option come from the primary sight, not from the magnifier.

Does MAG-C-2600001 include a red dot sight?

No. This package contains the black 3x magnifier and its quick-release flip-to-side mount, with a riser plate and corresponding fasteners. The primary sight is separate.

Does the magnifier work with both MRO HD and MRO SD sights?

Both families are designed for use with magnification. The sight’s mounting height must also match one of the magnifier’s supported configurations. Do not assume the same compatibility for older MRO models.

Which mount heights does the included hardware support?

The supplied mount and riser support full co-witness and lower 1/3 co-witness heights. This does not make the package a universal match for every low or extra-high sight mount.

Can I use a generic magnifier mount?

Trijicon specifies a dedicated footprint for this magnifier and supplies the matching mount. Do not assume it fits a standard magnifier ring or an unrelated mounting base.

Does the magnifier need a battery?

No. It provides optical magnification without its own illuminated reticle. Any battery requirement belongs to the separate red dot sight.

Is the magnification adjustable?

No. The magnifier is fixed at 3x. Its diopter adjusts focus, not magnification, and the flip-to-side mount provides access to the primary sight’s unmagnified view.
