The Tenmile range includes 30 mm and 34 mm tubes, several reticle layouts, and both capped and exposed elevation adjusters. Those distinctions matter as much as maximum magnification. A 4.5-30×56 Precision Tree model and a 4.5-30×56 MOA Long Range model share a magnification range, but they do not share the same focal plane or reticle design.

Compare Magnification and Size

The 3-18×44 uses a 30 mm tube and weighs 24.4 oz. Its 3x low end provides a wider field of view than the higher-power models. The 4-24×50, 5-25×50, and 6-24×50 also use 30 mm tubes, with weights from 24.9 to 25.7 oz. The 5-25×50 is 13.5 inches long, while the 4-24×50 and 6-24×50 measure 14.45 inches.

The 4.5-30×56 and 5-50×56 use 34 mm tubes and 56 mm objectives. The 4.5-30×56 weighs 36 oz.; the 5-50×56 weighs 38.4 oz. and spans a 10:1 zoom range. Tube diameter, overall dimensions, and weight are useful considerations when choosing a compatible mounting solution.

First or Second Focal Plane?

First-focal-plane reticles change apparent size with magnification while retaining a consistent angular scale. The 3-18×44 MRAD Precision Tree and the 4.5-30×56 MOA and MRAD Precision Tree models use this design. Their branching patterns provide more reference marks below the center than a simple graduated crosshair.

Second-focal-plane reticles stay the same apparent size as magnification changes, but the angular spacing represented by their markings varies. The 4-24×50, 5-25×50, 6-24×50, and both 5-50×56 configurations are SFP models. The 4.5-30×56 MOA Long Range model is also SFP, unlike the Precision Tree versions at that magnification.

MOA, MRAD, and Reticle Layouts

MOA and MRAD are different angular measurement systems. The 4.5-30×56 MOA models have 1/4-MOA clicks, while the 5-50×56 MOA Long Range model has 1/8-MOA clicks. Most MRAD configurations here use 0.1-MRAD clicks; the 5-50×56 MRAD Center Dot model with Wind Holds uses 0.05-MRAD clicks.

Reticle names also identify different layouts. Precision Tree patterns have branching reference dots. The MOA Long Range design uses graduated horizontal and vertical lines. The 5-25×50 MRAD Center Dot has a simpler layout than the 5-50×56 MRAD Center Dot with Wind Holds, which adds lateral reference dots below the center. PowerDot MRAD Ranging models combine an illuminated center with graduated crosshair lines and bold outer posts.

Illumination and Adjuster Choices

The 3-18×44, 4.5-30×56, and 5-50×56 configurations offer five red and five green illumination settings. The 4-24×50 PowerDot and 5-25×50 Center Dot models shown in this range use red-only illumination with ten settings. The 6-24×50 PowerDot is offered as separate red-only and green-only versions, each with ten settings. All use a CR2032 battery and have off positions between brightness settings.

The 6-24×50 models have low capped adjusters and no elevation zero stop. The other configurations described here have exposed elevation adjusters with a return-to-zero feature. Included sunshades, Tenebraex flip caps, and Scopecoat covers complement the scopes; the 30 mm and 34 mm tubes require appropriately sized mounting solutions.
