The Trijicon ACOG TA31A 4×32 riflescope pairs a red triangle reticle with fiber-optic and tritium illumination. This version has a black housing and includes carry-handle hardware rather than a flattop mount.

Red Triangle Reticle

The filled triangle is the TA31A’s defining visual feature. It offers a different central shape from the open chevron in the TA31F. This model includes carry-handle hardware; a TA51 flattop mount is not part of the standard package.

The filled triangle provides a bold central shape, unlike the open center of a chevron. It is one of the classic ACOG reticle choices and gives the TA31A its own visual character within the 4×32 family.

Battery-Free Fiber Optics and Tritium

Fiber optics collect available light to illuminate the reticle during the day, while tritium provides illumination in low light. You do not need to switch the scope on or keep a spare battery for its reticle. Brightness responds to available light rather than a manual dial.

The reticle remains etched into the optical system, so its pattern is not created solely by illumination. This gives you a visible reference even when the illuminated portion is less prominent against the background. The scope itself has no battery compartment.

Compact Fixed-Power Construction

The scope combines fixed 4x magnification with a 32 mm objective lens. Its forged 7075-T6 aluminum housing is sealed and nitrogen-filled, protecting the multi-coated optics. It has a 7-degree field of view and an exit pupil of approximately 8 mm.

Carry-Handle Configuration

This version includes a carry-handle screw and washer. A TA51 flattop adapter is not included; purchase a compatible ACOG mount separately if you need one for a rail. The scope uses a dedicated base rather than conventional rings and has 1.5 inches of eye relief.
