The Trijicon Compact ACOG TA33-C-400378 uses a red chevron reticle calibrated for .223 62-grain ammunition. The pointed center reference distinguishes the chevron from the crosshair and horseshoe-and-dot options. This is the red counterpart to TA33-C-400371, with the same fixed 3×30 optical format and an included Q-LOC mount.
The 30 mm objective provides an 8.4 mm exit pupil, while eye relief is 1.9 inches. Its 19.3-foot field of view at 100 yards is narrower than that of the 3×24 TA50, but the longer eye relief is an important counterpoint. The black housing contains a fixed-power system without a variable-magnification control.
Fiber optics gather ambient light for daytime reticle illumination, and tritium supplies illumination in low light without a battery. The forged aluminum housing contains a nitrogen-filled optical system with multicoated lenses. The included Q-LOC mount provides a quick-release connection for a compatible Picatinny rail.
