The Trijicon Huron 3-12×40 riflescope provides a 12x upper magnification for a closer view of distant detail while retaining a 40 mm objective. Model HR1240-C-2700003 pairs the BDC Hunter Holds reticle with a 30 mm tube and satin black finish. The scope weighs 17.8 ounces and measures 12.55 inches long.
Its black BDC Hunter Holds reticle has a fine central crosshair, heavier outer posts, and additional reference marks. The second-focal-plane layout keeps its apparent size consistent as magnification changes. This is a non-illuminated reticle, without a powered dot or brightness settings.
Broadband anti-reflective coatings on the fully multi-coated lenses support detail and color, and scratch-resistant coatings help protect the glass. An easy-focus eyepiece provides diopter adjustment. This model has 2.2-3.2 inches of eye relief and a field of view of 36.3-9.1 feet at 100 yards across its zoom range.
Low-profile capped turrets protect the adjustment dials and provide 1/4 MOA clicks, with 70 MOA of total travel. The 6061 aluminum housing is filled with dry nitrogen to resist internal fogging and is rated for submersion to 10 feet. A lens cap and Scopecoat cover are included; compatible 30 mm rings or a mount are selected separately.
