Model AT1240-C-2800002 has a 40 mm objective, a 30 mm tube, and a matte black finish. It is a useful middle option for buyers who want up to 12x magnification without the 24.2-ounce weight of the 4-16×50.
A Non-Illuminated BDC Target Holds Reticle
The black BDC Target Holds reticle combines a fine central crosshair and reference marks with heavier outer posts. Its second-focal-plane placement keeps the reticle the same apparent size as the image is magnified. This model is non-illuminated and does not require a battery.
Outdoor Construction and Simple Controls
The scope uses fully multi-coated lenses with broadband anti-reflective coatings and scratch-resistant surfaces. Its 6061 aluminum housing is dry-nitrogen filled to resist internal fogging and is rated for submersion to 10 feet. Capped windage and elevation adjusters provide 1/4 MOA clicks, while the focusing eyepiece accommodates individual eyesight.
