The Trijicon Credo HX 1-8×28 pairs a first-focal-plane MOA Segmented Circle reticle with selectable red or green illumination. Model CRHX828-C-2900031 has a satin black 34 mm tube and exposed locking elevation and windage adjusters.

The segmented circle gives the reticle a prominent center, with MOA markings along the crosshair. First-focal-plane placement keeps the angular measurements consistent as the image and reticle change size together. The locking turret design is a useful distinction from the capped 1-6x models and the Return to Zero elevation system on the 1-10x model.

Five red and five green brightness settings let you choose the illumination color within the same scope. Off positions sit between brightness settings. Fully multi-coated lenses and a nitrogen-filled housing support a clear view in changing outdoor conditions. The scope is 10.8 inches long and weighs 25.6 oz.

This model requires 34 mm rings or a compatible mount, sold separately; 30 mm rings do not fit its tube. A Scopecoat, a 3 mm hex key, a repositionable magnification knob and replacement screw, and one CR2032 battery are included.
