This Trijicon VCOG 1-8×28 combines the red MOA crosshair-dot reticle with a quick-release Q-LOC mount. The segmented circle surrounding the crosshair and dot is part of the reticle design. Its universal MOA scale is not calibrated for a single cartridge or bullet weight.

The first-focal-plane reticle stays proportional to the image throughout the 1-8x zoom range, and the adjustments move in 1/4-MOA increments. Eye relief varies from 4 to 3.9 inches. The Q-LOC package is distinct from the TA51 thumbscrew version and from the SCO package with its Enhanced MRAD reticle and LaRue mount.

The LED reticle runs on one AA battery and offers 11 brightness settings: two for night-vision compatibility, eight for daylight, and one extra-bright setting. Trijicon specifies 633 hours of operation at setting 6 with a lithium AA battery. An alkaline AA is also supported; the quoted runtime is for lithium power.

The forged 7075-T6 aluminum housing is rated for submersion to 20 m. Its integrated mounting interface uses the supplied Q-LOC quick-release mount without conventional scope rings. The box also includes a lithium AA battery, LENSPEN, manual, warranty card, and Trijicon sticker.
