Glock 43X Pistols

The Glock 43X is Glock’s Slimline 9mm everyday-carry pistol: the 3.41 in. slide of a Glock 43 on the compact-length grip of a Glock 48. Glock added the 43X after selling more than a million Glock 43 pistols, when customers asked for a Slimline 9mm with a fuller grip and more rounds. Glock lists the 43X at 6.50 in. overall, 1.10 in. wide, and 5.04 in. tall with a magazine in place. The slide is 0.87 in. wide. An iron-sight 43X weighs 16.40 oz without a magazine; 43X MOS weighs 16.26 oz without a magazine. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.

That compact-length grip is the same frame Glock uses on the Glock 48: a built-in beavertail, a short trigger distance, and a reversible magazine catch. Precision-milled front serrations give traction at the front of the slide when you rack it. The barrel is the Gen5 Glock Marksman Barrel, with enhanced polygonal rifling and a recessed crown. Safe Action keeps a consistent trigger pull from the first round to the last, with three automatic safeties that disengage as the trigger is pulled and re-engage when the trigger is released. Glock 43X MOS and Glock 43X Rail pistols use Glock’s slim mounting rail in front of the trigger guard. Choose a light listed for that Slimline rail.

Shop the 43X line here. Factory pistols ship as iron-sight guns, MOS optic-ready guns, or Aimpoint COA packages with the optic already on the slide. Pistols here are 10-round or 15-round 43X guns. Cerakote, engraved, and other custom 43X pistols sit here with the factory guns. See also Glock 43, Glock 48, Glock COA, Glock magazines, and the Glock pistols hub.

Glock 43X vs Glock 43 vs Glock 48

The Glock 43 is the original Slimline 9mm with a six-round magazine. It shares the 3.41 in. barrel and 6.06 in. slide with the 43X. Glock lists the 43 at 6.26 in. overall, 4.25 in. tall with a magazine, and 1.06 in. wide. Glock 43 magazines and 43X magazines are not the same. The 43X keeps that subcompact slide and adds the compact-length grip, so more of the firing hand fits the frame. Slimline magazines started at 10 rounds.

The Glock 48 is the other half of the pair. It uses this same 43X grip, the same slim rail, and the same Slimline magazines, with a 4.17 in. barrel and a 7.28 in. overall length. Glock describes the 48 as similar in length and height to a compact Glock 19, with Slimline width. The 43X is that G48 grip under a G43-length slide.

MOS, COA, and Slimline magazines

Glock 43X MOS uses a factory-milled slide for specific micro-optics and does not include adapter plates. Glock lists the standard Slimline MOS cut as the Shield RMSc footprint with M4 screws. Some Slimline pistols use the MOS-K cut for Holosun K or RMSc footprints, with M3 screws from the optic maker. Cover-plate screws stay with the cover plate. The slim MOS cut places the optic closer to the line of sight, so Glock’s standard sights remain visible through a compact optic, and MOS does not need tall backup sights. A factory red dot is installed only on the pistols that list one.

Glock 43X COA pistols use Aimpoint’s A-CUT interface and a factory-installed Aimpoint COA. The optic mounts deeper in the slide on a patented wedge, without a Slimline MOS adapter plate. Glock lists factory backup sights that co-witness with the COA. The low A-CUT mount keeps the optic close to the slide for concealment. Those pistols also sit on the Glock COA page.

Factory 43X pistols originally shipped with 10-round Slimline magazines and an orange follower. In April 2026 Glock announced OEM 15-round metal Slimline magazines for the 43X and 48 that work with the standard magazine catch, and new 43X and 48 pistols come standard with those 15-round magazines. Pistols on this page include 10-round and 15-round 43X guns. Spare magazines sit on the Glock magazines page.

How to choose a Glock 43X

Iron-sight 43X pistols keep polymer sights on the 3.41 in. Marksman Barrel and the compact grip. MOS pistols add the factory micro-optic cut for a Shield RMSc-pattern sight, or a Holosun K-pattern sight on MOS-K slides. COA pistols include a factory-installed Aimpoint COA in the A-CUT. Custom cerakote and engraved 43X pistols keep that same 43X size under a different finish. Magazines are 10-round Slimline magazines or Glock’s OEM 15-round Slimline magazines. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.

What is the difference between a Glock 43X and a Glock 48?

They share the Slimline compact-length grip, the slim rail, and the same magazine family. The 43X uses a 3.41 in. barrel, a 6.06 in. slide, and a 6.50 in. overall length. The Glock 48 uses a 4.17 in. barrel, a 6.85 in. slide, and a 7.28 in. overall length. Glock describes the 48 as similar in length and height to a compact Glock 19, with Slimline width. The 43X is that same grip under a G43-length slide.

How does a Glock 43X compare to a Glock 19?

The Glock 19 is Glock’s compact 9mm with a wider frame and a different magazine family. Glock lists a G19 Gen5 MOS at 7.28 in. overall and 1.34 in. wide. The 43X is shorter and slimmer: 6.50 in. overall and 1.10 in. wide, with the G43 slide on the G48 grip. The Glock 48 is Glock’s Slimline pistol with similar length and height to a compact Glock 19.

Does a Glock 43X MOS include adapter plates?

No. Glock states that G43X MOS does not come with adapter plates. Slimline MOS cuts are milled for specific micro-optics. Standard Slimline MOS is the Shield RMSc footprint with M4 screws. Some Slimline pistols use the MOS-K cut for Holosun K or RMSc footprints. Cover-plate screws are for the cover plate. Use the M3 screws from the optic maker on MOS-K slides.

What magazines does a Glock 43X use?

Factory 43X pistols originally shipped with 10-round Slimline magazines and an orange follower. A Glock 43X COA is a 43X with a factory-installed Aimpoint COA optic on Glock’s A-CUT interface. The COA mounts deeper in the slide on a patented wedge, without a Slimline MOS adapter plate. Glock lists factory backup sights that co-witness with the optic, and the low mount keeps the optic close to the slide for concealment. Those pistols also sit on the Glock COA page.

Does a Glock 43X take a weapon light?

Glock 43X MOS and Glock 43X Rail pistols use Glock’s slim mounting rail in front of the trigger guard. Glock designed that rail so a Slimline-listed light sits close to the bore and still leaves room for a two-handed grip. It is not a 1913 Picatinny rail. Match the light to Glock’s slim rail.

Does a Glock 43X ship to my door?

Handguns ship to a licensed FFL for transfer.
