Glock COA Pistols

Glock COA pistols are factory 9mm Glock pistols with an Aimpoint COA already on the slide. Glock and Aimpoint built that package around A-CUT, a slide interface that seats the optic deeper without adapter plates. The COA is an enclosed 3.5 MOA red dot. Factory backup sights co-witness with the optic. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.

Glock mills an A-CUT dovetail into the slide. The optic locks on a patented wedge with a front hook, so the housing sits lower than a plate-mounted red dot and does not need screws through the optic body. That low mount helps with concealment and keeps the factory sights in the window. MOS adapter plates and Gen6 Optic Ready System plates are not part of this setup. These slides are cut for the Aimpoint COA.

The COA housing is 7075-T6 aluminum. It measures 1.8 by 1.1 by 1.2 in. and weighs 1.7 oz with the battery. A CR2032 battery powers the sight for 50,000 hours at daylight setting 7. Twelve brightness settings cover four night-vision steps and eight daylight steps. You can change the battery without taking the optic off the slide. The enclosed emitter keeps rain, dust, and lint off the LED. The sight is submersible to 25 m (80 ft).

MOS8, DC8, MOS, and Gen6 ORS

MOS8 on a Glock 45 or Glock 48 COA is the factory A-CUT package with the Aimpoint COA installed. Glock 43X COA pistols on this page use that same A-CUT package, even when the title still says MOS. MOS8 is not Glock’s Modular Optic System. A standard G45 MOS ships with one adapter plate and no factory red dot. Slimline MOS on a 43X or 48 is a Shield RMSc-pattern cut with no plates and no factory red dot.

DC8 on a Glock 17 Gen6 or Glock 19 Gen6 COA is the same factory A-CUT package on a Gen6 pistol. Glock 45 Gen6 COA pistols on this page use that same cut. Gen6 optic-ready pistols without a COA use the Optic Ready System and three plates. Those plates are not on these COA slides.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Glock COA pistol?

A Glock COA pistol is a factory 9mm Glock with an Aimpoint COA already on the slide. Glock mills an A-CUT dovetail into the slide so the optic sits deeper on a patented wedge, without MOS or Optic Ready System adapter plates. Factory backup sights co-witness with the optic. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.

What is A-CUT?

A-CUT is Aimpoint’s slide interface for the COA. Glock mills a dovetail into the slide, and the optic locks on a patented wedge with a front hook. That puts the housing lower than a plate-mounted red dot, keeps the factory sights in the window, and does not need screws through the optic body. Adapter plates are not used.

Is the Aimpoint COA an enclosed red dot?

Yes. The Aimpoint COA is an enclosed 3.5 MOA red dot. The housing is 7075-T6 aluminum, measures 1.8 by 1.1 by 1.2 in., and weighs 1.7 oz with the battery. The enclosed emitter keeps rain, dust, and lint off the LED. The sight is submersible to 25 m (80 ft).

What is the Aimpoint COA optic?

The Aimpoint COA is an enclosed 3.5 MOA red dot built for pistols. The housing is 7075-T6 aluminum and weighs 1.7 oz. A CR2032 battery powers the sight for 50,000 hours at daylight setting 7. Twelve brightness settings cover four night-vision steps and eight daylight steps. You can change the battery without taking the optic off the slide.

Does a Glock COA include MOS or ORS adapter plates?

No. Glock COA pistols use A-CUT for the factory Aimpoint COA. MOS adapter plates and Gen6 Optic Ready System plates are not in the box. A standard G45 MOS uses one adapter plate and ships without a factory red dot. Gen6 optic-ready pistols without a COA use three plates.

What is MOS8 vs DC8?

MOS8 on a Glock 45 or Glock 48 COA is the factory A-CUT package with the Aimpoint COA installed. Glock 43X COA pistols on this page use that same package. DC8 on a Glock 17 Gen6 or Glock 19 Gen6 COA is the same factory A-CUT package on a Gen6 pistol. Neither suffix is Glock’s Modular Optic System or the Gen6 Optic Ready System plate set.

Which Glock models on this page have a factory COA?

This page holds factory Aimpoint COA packages on the Glock 43X, Glock 48, Glock 19 Gen6, Glock 17 Gen6, and Glock 45. Slimline 43X and 48 pistols sit here with compact G19, full-size G17, and crossover G45 guns.

Do factory sights co-witness with the COA?

Yes. The A-CUT mount sits low enough that factory backup sights co-witness with the Aimpoint COA. The wide window on the COA keeps those sights in view through the optic.

What magazines do Glock COA pistols use?

Glock 43X and Glock 48 COA pistols use Slimline magazines, in 10-round or 15-round form on this page. Glock 19 Gen6 COA pistols use Glock 19 magazines. Glock 17 and Glock 45 COA pistols use Glock 17-pattern magazines. Spare magazines sit on the Glock magazines page.

Can I mount a different red dot on a Glock COA slide?

These pistols are cut for the factory Aimpoint COA on A-CUT. MOS plates and Optic Ready System plates are not in the box. A-CUT is not the Slimline MOS Shield RMSc cut and is not the Gen5 MOS or Gen6 ORS plate set.

Does a Glock COA ship to my door?

Handguns ship to a licensed FFL for transfer.
