Glock 45 Pistols
The Glock 45 is Glock’s compact crossover 9mm, with a G19-length slide on a full-size G17-length frame. Glock built that layout from the G19X military pistol and finished the 45 in black for duty and everyday use. The 45 keeps a 4.02 in. barrel and a 6.85 in. slide. Overall length is 7.44 in., and height is 5.47 in. with a magazine in place. A G45 MOS is 1.34 in. wide and weighs 21.73 oz without a magazine. Standard magazines are 17-round magazines in the Glock 17 pattern. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.
Front serrations give you traction when you rack the slide, even with wet or sweaty hands. The full-size frame uses a flared magazine well, a reversible magazine catch, and an ambidextrous slide stop. The Modular Backstrap System lets you size the grip, and Gen5 G45 frames drop the finger grooves. The barrel is the Glock Marksman Barrel, with enhanced polygonal rifling and a recessed crown. Safe Action keeps a consistent trigger pull from the first round to the last, with three automatic safeties that disengage as the trigger is pulled and re-engage when the trigger is released. Glock 45 pistols use Glock’s accessory rail in front of the trigger guard. Choose a light listed for Glock 19 and Glock 17 rails.
Shop the Glock 45 line here. Factory pistols ship as iron-sight Gen5 guns, Gen5 MOS optic-ready guns, G45 V pistols, Gen6 optic-ready guns, and Aimpoint COA packages with the optic already on the slide. Compensated G45 V and G45 CV pistols sit here with the rest of the V lineup. Pistols here are 17-round or 10-round Glock 45 guns. Camo MOS, Cerakote, and other custom 45 pistols sit here with the factory guns. See also Glock 19, Glock 17, Glock 19X, Glock COA, Glock magazines, and the Glock pistols hub.
Glock 45 vs Glock 19 vs Glock 17 vs Glock 19X
The Glock 19 is Glock’s compact 9mm. It shares the 4.02 in. barrel, 6.85 in. slide, and 1.34 in. width with a G45 MOS. The 19 is 7.28 in. overall and 5.04 in. tall with a magazine, and it uses 15-round magazines as standard. The 45 keeps that compact slide and adds the full-size frame. Overall length is 7.44 in. and height is 5.47 in., and standard magazines are 17-round.
The Glock 17 is the full-size 9mm in the same magazine family. A G17 Gen5 MOS uses a 4.49 in. barrel, a 7.32 in. slide, and a 7.95 in. overall length. Height with a magazine is 5.47 in., and standard magazines are 17-round. The 45 is that G17-length grip under a G19-length slide.
The Glock 19X is Glock’s first crossover, with a G17 frame, a G19 slide, a coyote finish, and a lanyard loop. The G45 takes that same compact-slide, full-size-frame layout into black, with front serrations and a flared magazine well. Both measure 7.44 in. overall and 5.47 in. tall. The 19X is 1.30 in. wide; a G45 MOS is 1.34 in. wide.
MOS, Gen6 ORS, COA, and magazines
Glock 45 MOS uses a factory-milled slide so you can mount a reflex sight without buying a new slide. Standard MOS currently ships with a single adapter plate. The included plate fits Trijicon, Ameriglo, and Holosun optics other than the Holosun 509. Extra plates are sold separately if your optic uses a different footprint. A factory red dot is installed only on the pistols that list one.
Glock 45 Gen6 pistols come optic-ready with Glock’s Optic Ready System and three plates. Plate 02 covers Trijicon RMR, RCR, RMR HD, and SRO, plus Holosun 407C, 507C, 508T, and C&H Precision. Plate 03 covers C-More. Plate 04 covers Vortex Defender ST/XL, EOTech EFLX, and Leupold DPP. Those plates are not the Gen5 MOS plate set. Gen6 also adds a palm swell, a thumb rest, Gen6 grip texture, and a flat-faced trigger. A G45 Gen6 is 1.35 in. wide and weighs 20.28 oz without a magazine.
Glock 45 V pistols keep the same compact-slide, full-size-frame size, with a 4.02 in. barrel and 17-round magazines as standard. A G45 V weighs 20.11 oz without a magazine. Compensated G45 V and G45 CV pistols on this page add a compensator.
Glock 45 COA pistols use Aimpoint’s A-CUT interface and a factory-installed Aimpoint COA. The optic mounts deeper in the slide on a patented wedge, without an MOS adapter plate. Those pistols also sit on the Glock COA page.
Factory Glock 45 pistols use Glock 17-pattern magazines. Standard capacity is 17 rounds, with optional 19-, 24-, 31-, and 33-round magazines. Pistols on this page include 17-round and 10-round Glock 45 guns. Spare magazines sit on the Glock magazines page.
How to choose a Glock 45
Iron-sight Glock 45 pistols keep polymer sights on the 4.02 in. Marksman Barrel and the full-size grip. MOS pistols add the factory MOS cut and the included adapter plate. Gen6 pistols add the Optic Ready System with three plates, plus the Gen6 grip and flat-faced trigger. G45 V pistols use that same G45 size in the V lineup. Compensated V and CV pistols add a compensator. COA pistols include a factory-installed Aimpoint COA in the A-CUT. Custom camo and Cerakote 45 pistols keep that same G45 size under a different finish. Magazines are 17-round Glock 17-pattern magazines or 10-round magazines. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.
