Glock 48 Pistols
The Glock 48 is Glock’s Slimline 9mm with compact length. A 4.17 in. Marksman Barrel sits in a 6.85 in. slide. Overall length is 7.28 in., and height is 5.04 in. with a magazine in place. A Glock 48 is 1.10 in. wide, with a 0.87 in. slide, and an iron-sight 48 weighs 18.48 oz without a magazine. A Glock 48 MOS weighs 18.31 oz without a magazine. Standard magazines started as 10-round Slimline magazines. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.
That compact-length grip is the same frame Glock uses on the Glock 43X: a built-in beavertail, a short trigger distance, and a reversible magazine catch. Precision-milled front serrations give traction at the front of the slide when you rack it. The barrel is the Gen5 Glock Marksman Barrel, with enhanced polygonal rifling and a recessed crown. Safe Action keeps a consistent trigger pull from the first round to the last, with three automatic safeties that disengage as the trigger is pulled and re-engage when the trigger is released. Glock 48 Rail and Glock 48 MOS pistols use Glock’s slim mounting rail in front of the trigger guard. Choose a light listed for that Slimline rail.

Glock 48 vs Glock 43X vs Glock 43 vs Glock 19
The Glock 43X is the other half of the Slimline pair. It uses this same compact-length grip, the same slim rail, and the same Slimline magazines, with a 3.41 in. barrel, a 6.06 in. slide, and a 6.50 in. overall length. Height with a magazine is 5.04 in. on both. The 48 puts that 43X grip under a compact 6.85 in. slide.
The Glock 43 is the original Slimline 9mm with a six-round magazine. It shares the 3.41 in. barrel and 6.06 in. slide with the 43X. A Glock 43 is 6.26 in. overall, 4.25 in. tall with a magazine, and 1.06 in. wide. Glock 43 magazines and Glock 48 magazines are not the same. The 48 keeps Slimline width and adds the compact-length grip plus the longer slide.
The Glock 19 is Glock’s compact 9mm in a wider frame, with a 4.02 in. barrel, a 7.28 in. overall length, and 15-round magazines as standard. Height with a magazine is 5.04 in. on both. A Glock 19 is about 1.34 in. wide. The Glock 48 matches that compact length and height in Slimline width: 1.10 in. overall and a 0.87 in. slide.
MOS, COA, and Slimline magazines
Glock 48 MOS uses a factory-milled slide so you can mount a micro-optic without buying a new slide. Adapter plates are not in the box. The cut matches the Shield RMSc footprint and uses M4 screws. The slim cut places a compact optic closer to the line of sight, so the factory sights stay visible through a red dot you mount. A factory red dot is installed only on the pistols that list one.
Glock 48 COA pistols use Aimpoint’s A-CUT interface and a factory-installed Aimpoint COA. The optic mounts deeper in the slide on a patented wedge, without a Slimline MOS adapter plate. Factory backup sights co-witness with the COA. Those pistols also sit on the Glock COA page.
Factory Glock 48 pistols originally shipped with 10-round Slimline magazines and an orange follower. In April 2026 Glock announced OEM 15-round metal Slimline magazines for the 43X and 48 that work with the standard magazine catch, and new 43X and 48 pistols come standard with those 15-round magazines. Pistols on this page include 10-round and 15-round Glock 48 guns. Spare magazines sit on the Glock magazines page.
How to choose a Glock 48
Iron-sight Glock 48 Rail pistols keep polymer sights on the 4.17 in. Marksman Barrel and the compact grip. MOS pistols add the factory micro-optic cut for a Shield RMSc-pattern sight. USA-built pistols keep that same 48 layout from Smyrna. Custom cerakote and engraved 48 pistols keep that same 48 size under a different finish. Magazines are 10-round Slimline magazines or Glock’s OEM 15-round Slimline magazines. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.
