Trijicon Credo HX Scopes
Explore Trijicon Credo HX scopes in low-power variable and higher-magnification configurations. Choose the Magnification and Objective Size
The 1-6×24 models combine a compact 24 mm objective with a 30 mm tube. The 1-8×28 and 1-10×28 models extend the upper magnification range and use a larger 34 mm tube. All start at 1x, making this group distinct from the higher-magnification hunting models.
For a scope that starts above 1x, compare the 2.5-10×56, 2.5-15×42, 2.5-15×56 and 4-16×50 configurations. The 42 mm version has a smaller objective than the 56 mm options, while the 4-16×50 has a higher starting magnification. Objective size, weight and available clearance all matter when comparing a complete rifle-and-optic setup; a larger objective does not make every other model an inferior choice.
Understand the Reticle Choices
The 1-6×24 SFP PowerDot models use caliber-specific BDC Hunter Holds patterns for .223 or .308, with either red or green illumination. The 1-6×24 FFP models instead use an MOA Segmented Circle reticle. The 1-8×28 adds selectable red/green illumination to its FFP MOA Segmented Circle design, while the 1-10×28 uses the distinct MOA Segmented Circle Enhanced pattern.
The higher-magnification PowerDot Hunter Holds models offer selectable red or green illumination in a second-focal-plane layout. Their reticle is distinct from the caliber-specific 1-6×24 patterns. The Trijicon Credo HX 2.5-15×42 with red MOA Center Dot provides another SFP option with a different arrangement of MOA reference marks.
Compare Turrets and Mount Requirements
The 1-6×24 models have low capped turrets. The 1-8×28 has exposed locking adjusters, which are different from a Return to Zero stop. The 1-10×28 and the higher-magnification models described here have exposed elevation adjustments with Return to Zero; the newer dual-color PowerDot hunting models add a toolless elevation system. These distinctions deserve as much attention as maximum magnification.
The 1-8×28 and 1-10×28 require 34 mm rings or a compatible mount. The other configurations described here use 30 mm tubes. Tube diameter alone does not establish the correct mount height or rifle compatibility. Mounts and rings are separate purchases, and included covers and accessories vary by model.

Are all Credo HX scopes first focal plane?
No. The range contains both first- and second-focal-plane models. FFP reticles change apparent size with magnification and retain consistent angular measurements. SFP reticles keep the same apparent size, with their reference measurements tied to a specified magnification. The exact model description identifies which design is included.
Can every model switch between red and green illumination?
No. The 1-6×24 models are separate red or green variants, and the MOA Center Dot 2.5-15×42 is red. The 1-8×28, 1-10×28 and newer dual-color PowerDot Hunter Holds models offer selectable red and green illumination within the same scope.
Is the .223 PowerDot reticle the same as the .308 version?
No. Those are distinct BDC Hunter Holds layouts in the 1-6×24 SFP range. The higher-magnification Hunter Holds models use another pattern. Match the complete model number and reticle name rather than assuming that every PowerDot scope has the same markings.
Does every Credo HX have adjustable parallax?
No. The 2.5-15×42, 2.5-15×56 and 4-16×50 configurations have side parallax adjustment from 10 yards to infinity. The 1-6×24, 1-8×28, 1-10×28 and 2.5-10×56 configurations do not have that side adjustment.
Are scope rings included?
These are standalone riflescopes, not mount-equipped packages. Rings or a compatible mount are selected separately. Check the tube diameter, objective clearance and intended mounting interface before choosing hardware.
Does Credo HX illumination use a battery?
Yes. Credo HX uses LED illumination powered by one CR2032 battery. Brightness controls include off positions between settings. Dual-color models divide the available brightness settings between red and green.
