Trijicon MRO SD Red and Green Dot Sights

The Trijicon MRO SD combines a simple 2 MOA dot with a compact, sealed housing and updated optics designed for magnifier compatibility. Choose red or green illumination, a black or Coyote Brown finish, and the mount configuration that suits your setup. Patrol models add lens protection, while the 3x magnifier combos bring both optics together in one package.

Choose a Red or Green 2 MOA Dot

Every MRO SD in this collection uses a single 2 MOA dot. There is no surrounding circle or selectable reticle pattern. The red-dot MRO SD with a full co-witness mount is a straightforward black sight-and-mount package. For a green reticle at the same mounting height, choose the green-dot full co-witness model.

Both versions have eight manual brightness settings, 1x magnification, and a 25 mm objective lens. Trijicon rates battery life at three years for the green-dot version and 2.5 years for the red-dot version, measured at daylight setting 3 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Both colors use the same 2 MOA dot size.

Find the Right Mount Package

Choose a model without a mount if you already own a compatible MRO base or want to select one separately. The black red-dot optic without a mount and black green-dot optic without a mount let you make that choice separately.

If you want a mount included, the red-dot low-mount package offers a lower profile than the co-witness models. Full co-witness and lower 1/3 co-witness versions provide different optical heights; the red-dot lower 1/3 model and green-dot lower 1/3 model include the AC32069 fixed mount. Standard low and co-witness mounts are not the same as the quick-release Q-LOC mounts.

Black or Coyote Brown

The Coyote Brown anodized finish changes the housing color, not the reticle. You can choose it with either red or green illumination. The Coyote Brown red-dot sight without a mount keeps your mounting options open; the Coyote Brown green-dot model with a full co-witness mount supplies the brown optic and black mounting base together.

MRO SD Patrol: Added Lens Protection

The Patrol models include covers for the front and rear lenses and a killFLASH anti-reflection device. Choose the Patrol with a full co-witness Q-LOC mount or Patrol with a lower 1/3 Q-LOC mount when you also want quick-release hardware. The Patrol without a mount retains the lens accessories while letting you select your own compatible base.

The MRO SD Patrol retains the standard SD model’s red 2 MOA dot and 1x magnification. Its lens covers and anti-reflection device add protection without changing the reticle. The selectable circle-and-dot reticle belongs to the separate MRO HD family.

MRO SD with a 3x Magnifier

The MRO SD 3x magnifier combo includes a black sight with a red dot, a full co-witness Q-LOC mount, and a separate magnifier with a quick-release flip-to-side mount. The MRO SD Patrol 3x combo adds Patrol lens covers and a killFLASH anti-reflection device.

The separate magnifier provides a 3x view while retaining the MRO’s dot reticle. It adds weight and has its own eye-relief requirement. The MRO sight remains a 1x optic; these packages contain two separate optics, not a variable-power riflescope.

Compact Controls and Durable Construction

The MRO SD’s top-mounted brightness dial is accessible from either side, and its top-loading CR2032 battery can be replaced without removing the sight from its mount. A forged 7075-T6 aluminum housing, sealed construction, and recessed adjustment controls keep the optic compact. The SD generation retains the original MRO mounting footprint while updating the objective lens and optical performance.

Does every MRO SD include a mount?

What does the Patrol version include?

The Patrol adds objective and ocular lens covers and a killFLASH anti-reflection device. Mounts vary by model, and the no-mount Patrol does not include a mounting base.

Does every MRO SD come with a magnifier?
