The SIG M400 SDI X pistol is SIG Academy’s AR in 11.5 in.: fully ambidextrous controls including a bolt catch unique to the SDI lower, Matchlite Duo, and Magpul’s BSL brace.

SDI X is SIG Academy’s AR. Instructors asked for a fully ambidextrous rifle, including a bolt catch unique to the SDI lower, so left- and right-handed shooters run the same gun. A dual-clamp steel lockup keeps the M-LOK handguard rigid when lights and grips hang on all four sides. The Matchlite Duo two-stage is a flat 4.5–6.5 lb pull.

The SDI X pistol is the Academy layout on an 11.5 in. cold-hammer-forged barrel: fully ambidextrous controls including the SDI bolt catch, Matchlite Duo, Magpul’s BSL brace, and the same rigid M-LOK handguard. Twist is 1:7. Gas is carbine-length. The muzzle is SIG’s flash-hider compensator.

This 11.5 in. SDI X pistol

This is the black SDI X pistol, not the 16 in. rifle. Cold-hammer-forged 11.5 in. barrel, carbine-length gas, Magpul BSL brace, one 30-round magazine. A factory red dot is not installed. The SDI bolt catch stays on this lower.
