The SIG P229 Elite is SIG’s compact DA/SA 9mm. The P229 takes the P226 idea and shortens the slide and barrel for a compact metal-frame carry gun.
This is a P229 alloy-frame 9mm, not a full-size P226 and not a P365. These pistols ship to a licensed FFL.
This configuration
Elite Compact features include front-strap checkering, a SIG accessory rail, the one-piece E2 polymer grip, and SIGLITE night sights. The Short Reset Trigger keeps the DA/SA stroke and shortens the reset. SIG does not offer a manual safety on this Elite Compact configuration. The slide is optic-ready, with front and rear cocking serrations. SIG does not name a footprint for this Elite Compact, so the exact cut and any adapter plate should be confirmed for the sight you intend to mount. SIGLITE sights remain the factory iron sights.
