The Trijicon ACOG TA11MGO-M249 is a 3.5×35 optic with a green horseshoe-and-dot reticle developed specifically for the M249. It includes the TA51 thumbscrew mount, an anti-reflection device and protective flip caps.
The M249 reticle has its own ballistic and horizontal reference layout, rather than the standard .223 horseshoe pattern. Fiber optics and tritium illuminate the green center without batteries. The housing also has threaded eyepiece mounting bosses for an optional Trijicon RMR; a reflex sight is not included in this package.
The matte-black forged-aluminum scope measures 8.7 inches long and weighs 17.6 ounces. It provides 2.39 inches of eye relief and a 28.9-foot field of view at 100 yards. Multicoated lenses and nitrogen-filled construction support clear viewing and resistance to internal fogging, while the supplied caps protect the lenses between uses.
