The Trijicon RMR Type 2 RM01 optic combines a 3.25 MOA red dot with automatic brightness and a flat dark earth Cerakote housing.

The RM01-C-700624 optic has a 3.25 MOA red dot and an automatic LED system that responds to surrounding light. It has no side-mounted brightness buttons, making it a straightforward choice when you prefer the optic to select the dot intensity for you.

A CR2032 battery powers the LED, while the FDE Cerakote housing provides an earth-tone alternative to the black RM01 optic. The dot size and mounting footprint are the same on both versions. This model is supplied without a rail mount and uses a battery rather than fiber-optic and tritium illumination.

Construction and Illumination

The forged-aluminum housing protects the tempered-glass window in a compact, open-emitter design. Type 2 electronics and battery contacts are designed for reliability in demanding conditions. The non-magnifying 1x view shows the scene at its natural size, with a single illuminated dot as your aiming reference.

The CR2032 battery sits beneath the sight, so replacing it requires removing the optic from its mount. Trijicon rates the automatic LED model for approximately two years of typical use at 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). Actual battery life varies with brightness demands and temperature.

Mounting and Fit

This optic is supplied without a rail or platform-specific mount. Choose an RMR-compatible mount or adapter plate designed for your exact platform. The smaller RMRcc optic uses a different footprint.
