The Q-LOC-equipped Trijicon VCOG 1-8×28 in this configuration uses a red MRAD crosshair-dot reticle with a segmented circle. Both the reticle and the 0.1-MRAD click adjustments use milliradian units. The universal pattern is not tied to a particular cartridge or bullet weight.

First-focal-plane construction keeps the markings proportional to the image across the full zoom range. Eye relief is 4 to 3.9 inches, and the magnification dial has an integral fin. This matte-black model includes the Q-LOC quick-release mount rather than the TA51 thumbscrew mount; it does not use the SCO Enhanced reticle.

The LED reticle runs on one AA battery and offers 11 brightness settings: two for night-vision compatibility, eight for daylight, and one extra-bright setting. Trijicon specifies 633 hours of operation at setting 6 with a lithium AA battery. An alkaline AA is also supported; the quoted runtime is for lithium power.

The forged 7075-T6 aluminum housing is rated for submersion to 20 m. Its integrated mounting interface uses the supplied Q-LOC quick-release mount without conventional scope rings. The box also includes a lithium AA battery, LENSPEN, manual, warranty card, and Trijicon sticker.
