SIG P365 XL Pistols

The SIG P365 XL is the longer-slide P365. SIG stretches the slide to 3.7 in. on the X-series grip so you get more sight radius than a standard P365 without stepping up to an XMacro 17-round module. The XL slide is optic-ready on a compact Shield RMSc footprint. The X-series grip adds an extended beavertail. A factory red dot is installed only when this page says so. These pistols ship to a licensed FFL.

Standard 9mm XL pistols in this group use a 3.7 in. barrel, XRAY3 day/night sights, and an optic-ready compact (Shield RMSc) slide. Comp Rose and Comp 380 pistols keep an XL-length envelope with a 3.1 in. barrel inside an integrally compensated slide. Magazine capacity, manual safety, caliber, and whether an optic is installed are the choices that separate the exact models.

P365 XL Compared With P365, P365X, XMacro, and Fuse

The standard P365 is the shortest grip and slide combination, typically built around a 3.1 in. barrel and a 10-round flush magazine. The P365X keeps that shorter slide and pairs it with the longer XSeries grip. The P365 XL uses that same longer grip with the 3.7 in. slide, so it conceals like a slightly stretched P365 rather than jumping to a taller frame.

The P365 XMacro adds a macro-compact grip, 17-round magazines on unrestricted models, and a 1913 accessory rail. The P365 Fuse stretches the slide again with a 4.3 in. barrel and higher-capacity magazines. The XL sits between those guns: more shootable than the original P365, slimmer and shorter-gripped than XMacro or Fuse. P365 XL accessory rails are SIG rails, not 1913 rails.

9mm XL, Comp Rose, and Comp 380

The 10-round P365 XL with manual safety is the restricted-capacity 9mm XL with a 3.7 in. barrel and no compensator. Off-Duty 12-round XL pistols follow the same non-compensated 9mm layout, with or without a manual safety, and are limited to eligible SIG Off-Duty buyers. Those black 9mm XL slides are optic-ready; none of them include a factory red dot.

The P365-XL Comp Rose is a 9mm kit pistol with an integrally compensated slide, rose-gold controls, a laser-engraved ROSE grip, a manual safety, and a Vaultek Lifepod case with dummy rounds and a QuickStart guide. The 10-round Massachusetts-compliant kit and the California Comp Rose keep that ROSE package with capacity- or roster-specific features. The California pistol adds a magazine disconnect and a mechanical loaded chamber indicator.

The Comp Rose with ROMEO-RS installs a ROMEO-RS Compact 3 MOA red dot at the factory and uses suppressor-height XRAY3 sights. Related ROMEO-RS sights are listed in the SIG ROMEO-RS collection. A holster that fits a bare P365 XL may not clear that optic.

The P365-XL Comp 380 moves the XL grip t .80 AUTO with a two-port compensated slide and a SIG-LOC optic-ready cut. It is not a 9mm pistol and does not use 9mm P365 magazines. 12-round, 10-round, and manual-safety Comp 380 versions are listed separately. Most 9mm XL pistols are 1.1 in. wide; SIG lists the Comp 380 at 1.24 in. wide.

Choosing Capacity, Safety, and Magazines

Choose a 12-round 9mm XL when local law allows it. Choose a 10-round XL or Comp Rose when a restricted-capacity magazine is required. Choose a manual-safety model if that extra control is part of your carry or department requirement. Off-Duty pistols require approved credentials under SIG’s Off-Duty program.

9mm P365 XL pistols ship with steel magazines in the capacity marked on the product page. Longer P365-family 9mm magazines are sold separately in the P365 magazines collection; confirm caliber and length, becaus .80 magazines are not 9mm magazines. Grip modules and related parts are grouped with P365 grip modules.
