The Trijicon Compact ACOG TA50-C-400350 combines a standard-height 3×24 housing with a green horseshoe-and-dot reticle calibrated for .223 55-grain ammunition. The dot sits within a horseshoe outline, with additional ballistic references below. This is the standard-height configuration, not the low-height TA50-C-400356.
The 24 mm objective and fixed 3x magnification produce an 8 mm exit pupil. A 25.6-foot field of view at 100 yards gives the TA50 a wider view than the 3×30 TA33, while its 1.4-inch eye relief is shorter. These optical differences remain important even when two models share a similar green reticle.
Fiber optics gather ambient light for daytime reticle illumination, and tritium supplies illumination in low light without a battery. The forged aluminum housing contains a nitrogen-filled optical system with multicoated lenses. The included Q-LOC mount provides a quick-release connection for a compatible Picatinny rail.
