The Trijicon Huron 3-9×40 riflescope with the German #4 Crosshair reticle offers a simple sight picture in a traditional hunting configuration. Model HR940-C-2700004 has a 1-inch tube, a 40 mm objective, and a satin black finish. It weighs 15.8 ounces and measures 12.23 inches long.
The German #4 pattern uses heavy left, right, and lower posts surrounding a fine central crosshair. Unlike the BDC Hunter Holds version, this reticle has no additional BDC reference marks. It is black and non-illuminated, and its second-focal-plane position keeps its apparent size consistent as magnification changes.
Fully multi-coated, broadband anti-reflective lenses support clear detail and color, with scratch-resistant coatings to help protect the glass. The easy-focus eyepiece provides diopter adjustment. Eye relief is 2.5-3.7 inches, and the field of view runs from 33.8 to 11.3 feet at 100 yards across the 3-9x range.
Capped windage and elevation turrets use 1/4 MOA clicks and provide 40 MOA of total adjustment travel. The dry-nitrogen-filled 6061 aluminum housing resists internal fogging and is rated for submersion to 10 feet. A lens cap and Scopecoat cover are included; compatible 1-inch rings or a mount are selected separately.
