People search for the best Glock 9mm like there is one winner. The 9mm Glock you buy is a size call. Grip length, slide length, and width split the 43, 43X, 48, 19, 17, 19X, and 45. The trigger is Safe Action on all of them. After the numbers, each listing is a magazine, optic, or finish package on one of those frames.
The 9mm Glocks we stock sit in four groups. Slimline is the thin 43, 43X, and 48. Compact double-stack is the 19. Full-size is the 17. Crossover is a 19-length slide on a 17-length frame: coyote 19X or black 45. MOS, Gen6 Optic Ready System, and factory Aimpoint COA are how the slide takes a red dot. Those optic packages sit on the same frames as the iron-sight guns.

Grip length and width
You feel the gun in the grip first. Height with a magazine is 4.25 in. on the Glock 43, 5.04 in. on the 43X, 48, and 19, and 5.47 in. on the 17, 19X, and 45. That is the short Slimline, the compact grip, and the full-size grip.
Width is the other half of concealment. A Glock 43 is 1.06 in. wide. A 43X and a 48 are 1.10 in. wide. Slide width on those Slimline guns is 0.87 in. A Glock 19X is 1.30 in. wide. A Glock 17 Gen6 is 1.34 in. wide. A Glock 19 Gen6 and a Glock 45 Gen6 are 1.35 in. wide. Double-stack width is the price of 15- and 17-round flush magazines. Slimline width is the price of a thinner gun and a different magazine family.
The magazines follow the grip. Glock 43 magazines are six-round magazines for that short grip. The 43X and 48 share Slimline magazines: 10-round as standard, and Glock also makes OEM 15-round Slimline magazines. Glock 19 magazines are 15-round as standard. The 17, 19X, and 45 use 17-round magazines in the Glock 17 pattern. A 17-round Glock 17 magazine works in a Glock 19; the extra length hangs below the grip. Glock 43 magazines and Glock 43X magazines are not the same. We stock 10-round pistols in the double-stack families for states that require them. Spare magazines sit on the Glock magazines page.
Slide length
The slide is what you hide on the belt and what you get as sight radius. The 43 and 43X share a 6.06 in. slide over a 3.41 in. barrel. Overall length is 6.26 in. on the 43 and 6.50 in. on the 43X, because the 43X grip is longer.
The 19, 48, 19X, and 45 share a 6.85 in. slide. The 19, 19X, and 45 use a 4.02 in. barrel. The 48 uses a 4.17 in. Marksman Barrel in that same 6.85 in. slide length. Overall length is 7.28 in. on the 19 and the 48, and 7.44 in. on the 19X and 45. That extra overall length is the full-size frame in front of the compact slide.
The 17 is the long slide. A Glock 17 Gen6 slide is 7.32 in. over a 4.49 in. barrel. Overall length is 7.95 in. Sight radius on the polymer sights is 6.18 in. on the 19 and 6.65 in. on the 17. The 17 is the most gun in the holster. The 43 is the least.

How to pick
Start with width and grip. The 43 is the smallest 9mm Glock here: 1.06 in. wide, 4.25 in. tall, six rounds. The 43X keeps that thin slide and gives you the compact grip and Slimline 10- or 15-round magazines. The 48 keeps that Slimline width and adds a 6.85 in. slide, the same length as a 19, with a 4.17 in. barrel.
The 19 is the compact double-stack 9mm: 15 rounds flush, 5.04 in. tall, 1.35 in. wide. The 17 is the full-size 9mm: 17 rounds flush, 5.47 in. tall, the long slide. The 19X is that 19 slide on a 17 grip in coyote, 1.30 in. wide. The 45 is the black version of that mixed size.
Then pick the slide that matches how you want a red dot. Irons, MOS or ORS plates in the box, or a factory Aimpoint COA already on the gun. After that, pick 10-round magazines if your state requires them.
The named pages are Glock 43, Glock 43X, Glock 48, Glock 19, Glock 17, Glock 19X, and Glock 45, or use the Glock pistols hub. Handguns ship to a licensed FFL.
