Holosun IRIS-ARC Features and Performance

The Holosun IRIS-ARC is a weapon-mounted VCSEL IR illuminator built for night vision rifle and carbine setups. It gives shooters a dedicated infrared illumination tool in a compact 4.53 inch body, making it easier to add usable IR output without crowding the rail with unnecessary bulk.

The core feature is the high-output IR VCSEL illuminator. The IR emitter operates in the 820nm to 880nm wavelength range and provides more than 260 mW of illumination output. That gives the IRIS-ARC the power needed for night vision use while keeping the beam clean, consistent, and controllable.

Beam control is handled through a top-mounted slider that adjusts from a tight 3 degree spot to a wide 40 degree flood. The spot setting helps push illumination farther downrange, while the flood setting gives a wider field of view for closer work, movement, and general scanning under night vision.

The IRIS-ARC also includes variable output control from 20 mW to 260 mW. That range lets shooters tune illumination for close-range use, longer-distance identification, or changing environmental conditions. The aspherical lens system helps maintain beam clarity as the output and beam pattern are adjusted.

Activation options are practical for rifle use. The rear push button gives direct control from the unit, while the included Crane-plug pressure pad allows remote activation from a preferred grip position. The Scout-pattern mount interface supports a wide range of aftermarket weapon light mounts for flexible rail placement.

The housing is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with an anodized black finish. It uses a single CR123A battery, is rated IPX8 for waterproof protection, and is built to handle 1000G vibration resistance.
